Four Eyes! A Firmoo Review

As most of you know I recently reentered the world of glasses after spending a glorious 8 years with contacts.

Sadly, after my latest eye-exam, my optometrist suggested I give my eyes a break + stop wearing contacts because I’d been experiencing terrible dry, tired, itchy eye symptoms lately (due to age, new job environment, increased computer usage, etc).

I’ve always hated the way glasses look on me and finding the right pair is quite a challenge but what’s a blind girl to do? So, I tried on a zillion pairs and finally found some classic black frames from Costco that I actually liked and went along my merry way.

Somehow the universe sensed the grand shift my eyes and I had just undergone and a few weeks later, much to my surprise, Firmoo contacted me to see if I’d like to review their product….glasses. (And of course I said yes!)

So without further ado, here’s my review of Firmoo:

In case you’ve never heard of them, Firmoo is an eye glasses company that specializes in stylish eye wear at a low-cost. They have a variety of trendy glasses for both men and women, for prescription and non-prescription customers, and they even offer sunglasses!

Basically you hop on their website, choose your frame, enter your prescription information (or not if you lucky to not be a blind bat like me), pay, and voila! A week or so later your new specs will be at your doorstep. Did I also mention that Firmoo has this Virtual Try-On System that helps you find the right frames? Yeah, way cool! Just upload your own photo and try on as many pair as you like from the comfort of your own home.

Since I already had a black pair I decided to get these brown tortoise frames.

Pros: I’m impressed with the quality of the frames and lenses. They fit very well, don’t slide off the face or nose, and the prescription is correct which is super important!

Cons: They are more “hipster” than I’d like and the frame size is a little big for my the shape of my face (they come too far down on my cheeks + make me look a bug-eyed)

Final thoughts: All in all, Firmoo did a nice job with the glasses but I’ll probably just keep them as back up frames. They’ll be perfect for snowball fights, camping, or other occasions when I don’t want to risk losing my favorite pair.

However, I’ll be sure to keep checking Firmoo’s selection (they get new styles often!) until I find a pair that suits me better. After all you can’t miss the great styles and great price!

Speaking of…

for all you first time Firmoo shoppers, you can buy your first pair free: here.

All you have to pay is the shipping costs.

Score! And their first pair free program even includes sunglasses.

So if you are need some new specs or just a fashion pick-me-up

head over to Firmoo and check out their selection!

Please note that Firmoo did provide me with this pair of glasses to review but all opinions are my own and in no way influenced

  1. I had never heard of Firmoo (sounds great though!)..and I did not know that Costco sold glasses! Sweet! I actually broke my frames a few weeks ago (who does that, right?) and am in the market for a new pair..so this post came at the perfect time. Thanks for the tips! :)

    • sure thing! and yeah, I didn’t know Costco sold glasses either until I was looking then I found that some stores even have an optometrist too! best of luck with your search for new frames. p.s. my last ones broke too so the answer to “who does that, right?” is you and me apparently ;)
